Presentations

Ward 4 Redistricting Presentation Given at February 28 2022 ANC 3/4G Public Meeting given by Janet Hailes and Abe Clayman who are members of the Ward 4 Redistricting Task Force.

Jerry Malitz who is leading the Ward 3 Redistricting Task Force did not provide a formal presentation at our public meeting. His March 1, 2022 Chevy Chase News & Notes newsletter conveyed roughly the same information which is copied and pasted below:

UPDATE ON WARD 3 ANC/SMD REDISTRICTING TASK FORCE
During the first 6 weeks of the Ward 3 ANC/SMD Redistricting Task Force deliberations the task force has heard from many Ward 3 residents. As many as 50 people have attended one of the public meetings. About 90 emails have been received and almost 60 comments have been entered into the public record. Deliberations have included discussions on public school and historic neighborhood district boundaries, centers of Ward 3 activity (e.g., Libraries, Community Centers), commercial corridors, population centers, existing ANC/SMD boundaries, and many other aspects Ward 3 life.

The Task Force has already had 6 public meetings and all meetings are available to watch (they range in time from 58-96 minutes). The links to the recordings also include full transcripts and chat comments. Five more public meetings are scheduled to take place weekly on Tuesdays through March 29, starting at 7:30pm. The public is invited to participate via Zoom and each meeting has a dedicated segment for public comments/questions. In addition to the public meetings there are also two other ways to contact the Task Force with comments or questions. One is through the dedicated Task Force email address, and the other is by submitting public record comments. Finally, many other resources that were created by and are being used by the Task Force are available on its website.
