Chair Randy Speck’s Announcement: Decision Not to Seek Re-Election for ANC 3/4G-03

Chair Randy Speck announced at the ANC 3/4G Public Meeting on June 27, 2022, that he has made the decision not to seek re-election to represent his Single Member District, ANC 3/4G-03 starting in 2023, after serving as commissioner since January 2013 and as the Commission’s Chair since January 2015.

The Commission, past and present, owes a tremendous debt of gratitude for Chair Speck’s dedication to the community and to the Commission.

Note: The Board of Elections will make petitions available for Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner candidates on July 20, 2022.

  • You must have lived in your Single Member District (SMD) for 60 days prior to November 8, Election Day. (In other words, you must have moved in by September 9, 2022.)
  • You must be a registered voter in the District of Columbia.
  • Nominating petitions and Declarations of Candidacy must be filed on August 10, no later than 5 pm.
