Update: On December 16, 2021 Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED), in collaboration with the Office of Planning (OP) and the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), released the Rock Creek West Roadmap which outlines how we can produce over 2,000 additional affordable housing units west of Rock Creek. The event was held outside the Chevy Chase Community Center and Library, attracting a large crowd, where the Mayor announced the interagency coordination to bring an affordable housing component to the renovated community center and library facilities.
