Town Hall Meeting on Task Force on Racism’s Draft Reports November 16

Town Hall Meeting on Task Force on Racism’s Draft Reports
Last June, ANC 3/4G created a Task Force on Racism to “develop realistic steps that the Commission can take to impact people’s lives” and to “recommend actionable items with the intent to close the racial divide.” The Task Force was formally organized in July and consists of volunteers from the community who are interested in helping to reduce the impact of historic racism. The Task Force divided into three working groups — Community, Education/Health, and Housing. Those work groups met from August through October to identify concerns that needed to be addressed, to research best practices, and to prepare actionable recommendations. The groups presented their draft reports and recommendations to the Commission at its October 26th meeting. The Commission will hold a town hall on November 16, 2020, to hear from the community about the Task Force’s report and recommendations. The draft reports are available on the Commission’s website at https://anc3g.org/task_forces/task-force-on-racism/. The agenda and format for the town hall will be forthcoming.

You may attend the virtual town hall beginning at 7:00 pm at this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84188065276. (Dial in is available at 301-715-8592, Webinar ID: 841 8806 5276.) Please join your neighbors for this important discussion.
